Ho’oponopono is a Hawaiian word meaning: To put things in order or to shape, correct, revise, adjust, regulate, arrange, to make ready.
It is also an ancient Hawaiian spiritual practice that involves learning how to heal al beings by accepting full Responsibility for everything that surrounds us and through confession, repentance, reconciliation and active verbalization of love and thankfulness. The native Hawaiians believe that everything that happens in the world outside of us is a reflection of our inner world. Internal information such as thoughts, feelings, perceptions, beliefs and memories are creating the reflection that appears before us in the physical world.
And so we are invited to take an active approach towards our own healing and the well- being of the world around us.
At the heart of the method is an invitation to take full responsibility for the situation or conflict we encounter and to cleanse it. This could be a person with whom you have a conflict with (familiar, close or distant), a physical, mental, or medical problem, a pain, an unpleasant incident, an unpleasant word that was said to you and causes inner difficulty or challenge. A more global political or environmental issue or anything which create a “bad” feeling within you .
For all of these conflicts or issues we are asked first to take full responsibility as the basis for the beginning of cleansing and correcting the conflict. It is important to emphasize that responsibility does not mean guilt or an invitation for self-judgment but quite the opposite. Taking responsibility eliminates our victim perception and brings the power back into our hands to change the situation. Without relying on something to happen or someone to do or change their behavior for us.
After acknowledging our responsibility, we are using few sentences directing them at the conflict. We can do it out loud or as an inner mantra. There are two main versions of expressing Ho’oponopono. The suggestion is to go with the one you find more aligned with you.
The long version is: Thank you, I’m sorry, please forgive me, I love you
The short version is: Thank you, I love you
There is no need to say the sentences with strong intention and great focus and actually you do not have to really concentrate on trying to really feel the senses of forgiveness, gratitude or love. As these are already exist in us even if sometimes are hidden deep inside our subconscious.
The words of Ho’oponopono work they way into our subconscious so that even if we expressed them without much intention or without feeling it, the cleansing and healing work continues to happen under the surface. Imagine the DELETE key on your computers keyboard. it does not need to be pressed with much intention or belief in order for it to delete the highlighted text. So does expressing gratitude and love work in depth, while the results are usually immediate and many times are quite surprising and exciting. Like magic.
And how is this related to this website and to Wild Blends? Good question. In a few words, Wild Blends started as my journey of self growth, self support and self healing and evolved into a journey of mutual growth support and healing. The Ho’oponopono method, tooland way of life was there with Wild Blends from the very beginning and is, I believe, a major light engine of all we create here. Every product from Wild Blends is accompanied with a small Ho’oponopono sticker And with my wish to spread this magic over the person who reads it and to raise their self healing abilities and their interest to learn and experience more of it.
Thanks for reading these words.
Thank you
I love you
